[Toro Nagashi]
Toro nagashi is an event during the O-Bon festival in Japan. People will take the paper lantern and the offering on the tray and let them float down the ocean or river in order to mourn for the deceased.
During the O-Bon festival, Okuribi (Bonfire) is one of the event that usually held with Summer festival or Fire Work festival. There are also other special memorial events held during Bon festival.
The light of the paper lantern presents a type of comfort to heal people’s heart. This kind of fantastic atmosphere is a special aesthetic feelings which comes form the ancient Japan.
