Naruto Strait is one of the world's three largest tidal currents that creates its famous whirlpools, which are a natural heritage site rightfully renowned the world over. As a result of the ebb and flow of the Seto Inland Sea and the Kii Channel, countless vortexes up to 1.5m deep
are formed by the fierce tidal forces in the narrow Naruto Strait. If you would like to really see that force close up, we recommend seeing them from a ship. You can experience the thrill of being just close enough not to get sucked up in the roaring surge of the whirlpools.
