[Ojizo: Buddhist monk]
Jizo has the basic three meaning in Japan. They are for nurture all the creatures on the earth, have a great love kindness for the people who are suffering, and save their lifes.

People called them Ojizosann or Ojizosama in Japan which sounds more intimacy. Jizo is a present of god that protect the local area. It was defied in many places in Japan for wishing to have the multiple generations.

In Heian period, there was a Buddhist poem called “The god of protector for Children”that well-known around the Japan. And people started to believe the power of Jizo.
