You'll be captivated by this wonderful aerial journey that offers some of Japan's most breathtaking views. Having experienced a helicopter flight in Kyoto myself, I'm excited to share this amazing adventure with you.

About a 20-minute drive from Kyoto Station, our destination was JPD Kyoto Heliport (1 Yanagishima, Mukōjima, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, 612-0000). Typically, a dedicated car will transport you to the heliport, so you don't need to worry about arranging a vehicle. Since we arrived a bit early, we took a brief stroll around the Kyoto Station area before heading to the heliport.

When we arrived, my friend was nervous about her first experience, but the warm smiles and kind explanations from the staff at the reception eased her nerves.
As we listened to the various flight plans, our excitement grew. When it was time to head to the heliport, the staff supported us step by step, making us feel safe and confident about boarding.

Actually, I had taken a helicopter ride at another location before, and at that time, I felt a bit scared due to the shaking of the aircraft and the sound of the wind.
However, the helicopter we boarded this time was surprisingly quiet, allowing us to enjoy a comfortable journey through the sky. Inside the helicopter, we could talk to the pilot and each other through headsets, adding to the uniqueness of the experience.
With the pilot providing commentary during the flight, seeing Kiyomizu Temple and the Kyoto Imperial Palace from above felt like discovering a whole new world.
